History

1923 :

  • Creation of pisciculture Sibecker in Mulhouse.
  • A hundred of species are reproduced there.
  • The company delivers specialized stores in the East of France.

1973 :

  • Creation of NGUYEN international specialized in the wholesale business. 
  • The first imports from Asia are developed.
  • Deliveries are now organized all over France.

1981 :

  • Creation of the “Musée Océanographique de Kingersheim”, also known as Aquarium Tropical.
  • Completely private, the museum was a real success in the 80's with 100 000 recorded visitors the first year. 
  • It closed its doors in 1998 enable the development of the acclimatization section.

1988 :

  • Creation of TROPIC international, one of the first transshipping company and the oldest one still existing.
  • French stores having an approval for direct import and European wholesalers are supplied by this formula.

2007 :

  • A new building adjoining with the existing structure enables to triple the number of aquariums, now becoming one of the largest and most hi-tech marine center in Europe.

  • Today, tThe group deals with 600 stores in France, 30 European wholesalers and more than 25 museums in the world.
